The River Chess Association are very concerned that abstraction is to resume and put out a press release on 1st Oct 2024: entitled 'Disastrous Resumption of Damaging Abstraction in the Upper Chess'.

They state that 'Abstraction reductions in 2020 have now been reversed by the Environment Agency, having secretly negotiated a costly & ill-conceived resumption of abstraction with Affinity Water.'
