This outcome falls into two parts, firstly that people are aware of, and appreciate, the waterbodies on their doorstep and understand how their everyday actions and lifestyle choices impact on these waters, secondly that people then get involved in protecting and enhancing these waters.
It is important that there is appropriate access to enable the rivers, canals and lakes to be experienced and enjoyed. This can be achieved by expanding and promoting the existing rich network of paths. There is a need for signage, interpretation and education about each part of the catchment and how each contributes to the whole.
