The stream that runs into Maple Lodge Nature Reserve has been seriously polluted.

On Friday 11th October 2024 it was cloudy, over 100 fish have since died. Thames Water and the Environment Agency have attended and ascertained the source appears to be the adjacent giant warehouse site at Maple Cross.
