22. Higher Denham habitat enhancement

Project description

Local volunteers completed the enhancement of the lower Misbourne near Higher Denham in May 2014, improving habitat for fish and wildlife.

 As part of series of events organised by the Environment Agency a habitat enhancement masterclass led by the Wild Trout Trust was held on the Misbourne near to Higher Denham. The purpose of the day was to train local volunteers and landowners in low cost techniques to enhance instream habitat using locally source large woody debris. During the course of the day 200m of river channel was enhanced.
