Project description

Improve signage of rivers to raise awareness of local rivers and how they relate to the landscape.

There are over 200km of watercourse in the Colne Valley Park. The Colne Valley has been described as "a vast cone of blue on the map" (Richard Mabey, The Unofficial Countryside), where the Colne divides into eight distributories yet many local people are unaware of the names of the rivers and how they link together.

This project aims to increase awareness through simple signage along footpaths and roads.
