Falling water levels
Water levels at Maple Lodge Nature Reserve have fallen 32cm in just 2 weeks! This is the most sudden level drop ever recorded at this site. Other lakes and rivers in the Colne Valley have been experiencing low water levels.

Sewage Treatment Works Reopening
Blackbirds Farm Sewage Treatment Works (STW) in Radlett will come back on line in the next few days, probably starting on Thursday afternoon. Flows will increase by between five and eleven millions gallons a day and given the exceptionally low flows in the river through Watford while the STW has been off line you should expect to see a flush through of potentially hazardous material.
