Tom White has been appointed as the new Colne Rivers Project Manager by Groundwork South.

Tom has a background in fisheries management and wildlife conservation and has previously worked for London Wildlife Trust and Environment Agency Wales.

Over the past five years Tom’s main focus has been working with the Crane Valley Partnership to produce the river’s catchment plan and to manage an impressive portfolio of river improvement projects. In his new role Tom will be leading the Colne Catchment Action Network and will be working to build partnerships with stakeholders across the catchment and supporting them to develop projects to implement the Colne CAN Action Plan. Tom will also be overseeing a range of river improvement projects for Groundwork South as part of their ongoing work in the Colne Valley Regional Park and will be supporting other staff members advising on the HS2 and Heathrow expansion mitigation plans.
