Volunteers are wanted to help improve the Horton Brook in Colnbrook, Slough this October 2019.

Groundwork South are looking for help with practical habitat improvement works on the Horton Brook at Crown Meadow. 10 volunteer days are scheduled throughout October including weekdays and weekends. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided of course, as well as practical training in river improvement methodologies.

Some of the works to be completed include:

• Natural flow improvements for a more dynamic and healthy river
• Building refuge structures for aquatic wildlife
• Introducing new aquatic plants
• Tree works for better public access to the river
• Removing fly tipping and litter

• Week 2: Tuesday 8th
• Week 3: Thursday 17th

• Week 5: Wednesday 30th, Thursday 31st
