Project description

Project to restore grazing to riverside  meadows, create wetland habitat and improve fish passage.

 Working in partnership with landowners and the Environment Agency, the Chilterns Chalk Streams Project is developing a project to restore grazing to a 12ha area of wet meadows alongside the River Chess at Sarratt Bottom, which has not been grazed for more than 30 years. The project will also create new, and enhance existing, wetland habitat and restore river connectivity.
