Project description

Following completion of tree works to enhance habitat in 2013, a new river improvement project took place on the Horton Brook in October 2019.

 

Groundwork South found volunteers to help carry out practical  habitat improvement works on the Horton Brook at Crown Meadow:

  •  Natural flow improvements for a more dynamic and healthy river
  •  Building refuge structures for aquatic wildlife
  •  Introducing new aquatic plants
  •  Tree works for better public access to the river
  •  Removing fly tipping and litter
